The Hangul Filler Character
In traditional Korean computing, the Hangul Filler (U+3164) was reserved to indicate an empty letter slot in ancient block typography. Modern platforms classify it as a letter rather than whitespace, so when you paste it into a username field, the system sees a valid letter, but your screen renders blank space.
